Hyundai has evolved to be more than just another Korean car company once they enter the international market many years ago. Through effective advertising and pricing strategy, they were able to uplift their standards and reputation over the years to the luxury level. One of their effective marketing was a guarantee – “if in the next year, you lose your income, we'll let you return it. That's the Hyundai assurance. An automaker that's got your back. Isn't that a nice change?” With this, they had a good year in 2010 despite the US sluggish economy.
The latest that creative Hyundai has going on is their 360-degree campaign for their new Eon Car. Partnering with Innocean Worlwide, a creative agency in India, they were able to pull off an interactive promotional campaign for Eon’s public exposure. Targeting 25-year old young professionals and executives, Innocean learned that importance of style not just in higher segment cars is very highly determined by this group of people. According to Vivek Srivastava, Joint Managing Director, Innocean. “The width and the depth of research unveiled some interesting insights. Going beyond the obvious ones which centred round mileage and space, we looked at tapping a major unmet need of buyers in this segment – style” If only Hyundai can produce an app where users can literally view their collections of luxurious practical cars right on these people’s smartphones, they sure can get more than what’s good this year. And recently guess what Innocean’s team leader Tarun Chowdhury announced, ”We are not just looking at numbers milling around the car in malls but actually give them a rich experience.”
