Besides being one of the most beloved sports in the snowing world, Skiing is also one of the best when it comes to business. The print and publishing companies for example have successfully circulated different issues of skiing magazines over the years generating impressive amount revenues. Even in the rise of digital and mobile media, these companies always have a place for their ski magazine.

Top consumer-publishing companies in America Interweave and Bonnier Corporation joined forces to create and revolutionized digital magazine viewable on desktops and laptops. This is quite interesting considering most of their peers in the industry are trying to create their print counterparts on mobile platforms while these guys created a much broader 360 degree multiplatform initiative on personal computers.

Entitled Skiing Interactive, this digital magazine is packed with unbelievable multimedia features including in depth content and unique advertising. Users can read and navigate through labels by clicking them. This will lead you to numerous contents such as interactive maps, 360 degree images, high definition video cover, and click through information.

As reported each issue will feature different sections and one of the most anticipated is the “Best of the Web” section, which will feature user generated videos, cover stories and other 360 degree photos chosen best by magazine editors.

According to Bonnier’s EG Director Tom James, “All the best stuff you normally find on Web sites, we're going to get it all together and put it here in one place so you won’t have to spend hours looking around the web to see what's cool.” In fact later in his announcement, James mentioned that they will have 10 editions of Skiing Interactive.
