Are you interested in photography? Have you thought about creating a video that is scrollable and zoomable photographs? You must be thinking this sound like a difficult job to perform and only professionals are able to do such things but in truth that’s not the case. In reality creating a 360 degree panoramic photo actually only involves stitching several digital images together and an extremely easy task to perform.

Here is how it is done.

  1. The first thing you need to do is take a series of 360 degree photographs of the object you are interested in. The best option to do is through a tripod that can rotate around easily. You will need to make sure that all images you are taking overlapped so that it is easier to stitch them together without missing anything.
  2. Now copy all the photographs to 1 folder in your computer.
  3. Select a program that allows image stitching like AutoStitch.
  4. Click Edit > Options to look at the options that are available to you and adjust them accordingly.
  5. Now to stitch images together go to File > Open and select all the images that you want to stitch together. The program will take care of the rest.
  6. The program will also take care of the images and produce a file with a default name in the same folder as the images.
  7. Now to turn your image into a scrollable and zoomable video than you can use the program Pano2QVTR.
  8. Once the program starts choose the “new project” option. Make changes to the default settings. You can even add sounds and “hotspots” to your image as well and your zoomable video is ready!
