Earlier this month, MileStone Systems, the world's market leader for open platform IP systems added ImmerVisions 360-degree lens technology in their IP network-based video surveillance systems. Specifically to support XProtect Enterprise 8, ImmerVision's panomorph lens has the perfect 360-degree optics for it. When both combined together, Xprotect enables users to increase surveillance effectiveness, enhance situational awareness and optimize the security installation.

Henrik Friborg, VP Strategic Alliances and Co-founder of Milestone Systems mentioned that, “Introducing the ImmerVision 360° technology in our newest release of XProtect Enterprise video management software means that our customers can increase their surveillance coverage even more efficiently and effectively.”

What’s convenient about ImmerVision’s 360-degree lens technology is that it can be mounted on any camera especially those from Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic. We have posted different discussions about ImmerVision in the past, so we already know the quality and the benefits their products bring:   blind spots removal; enhanced optical image sensor coverage on any both high and low resolution cameras, individual tracking and search object left behinds.

MileStone XProtect Enterprise however has IP video surveillance systems for medium to large-scale multi-site installations, along with their signature Smart Client App that comes with package to allow security operators an instant access to live and recorded video.

Lars Gudbrandsson, Head of Product Management at Milestone Systems also commented about this partnership, “We have specially developed the support for this 360° technology in the XProtect Smart Client interface so customers can take advantage of the ImmerVision Enables panomorph lens.” He added further that, “This is a shining example of how the Milestone true open platform allows interoperability between the best hardware and software to constantly improve situational awareness.”
