Tips to Use 360 Panorama App Effectively

Since its launch last 2010, 360 Panorama app’s success is highly exceptional. It is opening wonderful opportunities to its creative developer Occipital as well as bringing mobile panorama photography to the hands of the public. It allows users to create professional looking 360 panoramas for $2! Users can create up to 80 mega pixel panorama in seconds. Simply pan the camera clockwise and the app will work on the rest!

However even in this light of simplicity, most users are still not satisfied with their panorama using 360 Panorama app. An anonymous commentor of 360 panorama page on iTunes says, “This app is incredible it has created a new way to share trips with family and friends. I'm sad to report since the last update the app is completely broken. After finishing taking the individual pictures the final stitching creates black sections all over the view. It went from 5 stars (and worth paying money) down to 1 star completely useless app. I hope the developer fixes it soon.”

To avoid this from happening, here are some tips to use 360 Panorama app effectively by panorama photographers themselves:

Keep the iPhone as close to you as possible, right in front of your face. Holding it at arm’s length can confuse it for certain near-by objects.
Also don’t lower it down to your chest or waist when capturing the ground, and don’t stick it way up above your head when capturing the sky. Only rotate it up and down, right in front of your face, and spin your body to get the side images.
