When we are to enumerate the world's top universities, definitely Yale University should be on the top 10. It is the third oldest institution of higher education in the United States that no wonder students from all over the world especially those into law and political science dream to study here. And if you are one of them, lucky you for Yale announced the official launch of their virtual campus tour online. No need to spend that extra bucks to visit your dream school.

Yale goes virtual. - an announcement released by the university's admission office last Wednesday. Of course this isn't new to us already since a lot of top universities announced their 360 degree virtual tour earlier this year already such as Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Cornell, and Datmouth. However, this is Yale, my friends. YALE. In this virtual walkthrough of Yale Campus in Connecticut, users are guided throughout starting from Woolsey Rotunda, Commons, Cross Campus, the residential colleges, Science Hill, etc. What's interestingabout this 360 degree view is that it shows images of students as tour guides describing University's buildings, resources, history, and other unknown trivia. It's as if you are actually there.

In this 360 degree walk-through, users are given the Yale experience regardless if they want to study here or not.  Deputy Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Jeremiah Quinlan said, "Many prospective students and their families are not able to travel to Yale because of cost or distance, and we want them to have the experience of walking around campus as well. For some prospective students and even some admitted students, the virtual tour will be the closest they can get to experiencing Yale before they have to decide whether to apply or matriculate here.”

He also added that, "Though the virtual tours are primarily geared toward prospective students and families who cannot afford to travel to Yale,  they are also useful for those who have visited campus but want to refresh their memories of Yale’s facilities and resources before deciding to apply."
